Pebble Beach represents the ultimate collector car lover’s destination and auction house Gooding & Company sales at its August 17-18 Pebble Beach auctions realized more than $112-million.
During the two-day sale, Gooding & Company sold 116 of the 127 lots offered, for a 91 per cent sale rate, with an average price per lot of $965,675, and 30 cars sold for more than $1-million.
Top three sales included:
- 1957 Ferrari 250 GT 14-Louver Berlinetta at $9,460,000, a world record for a Ferrari 250 Tour de France
- 1997 McLaren F1 at $8,470,000, a world auction for the marque
- 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Atalante at $8,745,000, a world auction for a Bugatti.
